We are ordinary people on a journey following Jesus. Our strength is in our relationships. Our congregation is a safe place to admit need and seek guidance. Some may wonder about the name Mennonite. We see ourselves as Christians who believe it is both practical and life-giving to follow Jesus’ life and teaching in our current day. We center ourselves on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. As we have been forgiven by God, we are called to forgive others. Such forgiveness enables a new community to develop based on God’s love rather than human thought. We seek to be transformed as we practice what Jesus taught. The faith community helps to shape, nurture and guide us in the journey of following Jesus. Please feel free to join us for any of our activities. If there is any way I can be of any service, please feel free to contact me.
Peace, Pastor Randy
When Lead Pastor, Randy Heacock, first felt called to pastoral ministry, he never dreamed it could be this much fun. He feels blessed to lead a congregation that is open to the adventure of following Jesus. Randy graduated from Messiah College and received his MDiv from Moravian Theological Seminary. He and his wife Nancy enjoy relating to their two adult daughters. Projects around the house are great stress reducers, and though he follows professional sports, he still looks forward to playing basketball every Thursday night.
Minister of worship & administration, KrisAnne Swartley, finds joy in watching people wake up to God’s Presence in their lives and the world, and she believes asking the right questions is the most important part of a meaningful journey with God. A former youth minister and worship minister, KrisAnne graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in 1998 and Biblical Seminary in 2009. She enjoys a good book and a strong cup of coffee, playing piano and singing, and spending time outdoors with her husband Jon, her children Heidi and Ben, and their rescue mutt Reesie.
Having been called by God several years ago to “help people pray,” prayer minister, Sandy Landes, encourages and equips a growing team of prayer ushers and intercessors whose desire it is to see the kingdom of God come forth in our church, our community, the region and the world. Sandy’s family brings great joy to her life, and includes her husband Steve, four children and a daughter-in-law, and a grandson who has stolen their hearts. She enjoys relaxing by caring for her garden and her four chickens, walking their dog, and connecting with friends.
